Although a songwriter in her own right, Paula Darwish has become more well known in recent years for her unique and captivating interpretations of Turkish and Kurdish folk songs. Their unique sound with its diverse eastern and western influences, relies on a careful balance of the familiar with the unknown. The only borders are in your mind. Paula Darwish and the Country and Eastern Band are based in Manchester, England.
Dubble D is Manchester-based drummer and producer Danny Ward. Danny has worked with a wide range of artists, from live electronic band 2020Soundsystem to renowned jazz musicians Gilad Atzmon and Jim Mullen. He has also worked as musical director and percussionist for both Rae and Christian and AIM on tour and has produced with notable artists such as Fila Brazilia, Only Child, Veba, Chapter and the Verse and The Pharcyde.

Saturday, October 29, 2011. The kitchen progress actually took less time than what my aggressive internal timetable was expecting. Other than the tile floor, we were finished most of the difficult work. Over the next few weeks we did the finishing touches of adding door hardware, cabinet lighting, caulking, and doing some touch-up painting. Everthing Finished but the Tile. So you may ask, did we stay within budget? I am not sure.
Random notes from the neal family. Its been almost a year since I updated this blog. Four kids, twin boys who were eight months old, life. And something had to give. I gave you up for the sake of sanity and it was a good decision. The boys are 18 months old. Walking, babbling, giggling and lots of fun. Anne is much too old and just finished her first year of pre-school.
